SGV: Getting Indian Takeout from Curry Time in El Monte
a trio of combos
I’ve been exploring different takeout options in the San Gabriel Valley. While I love Bhanu I actually enjoyed eating there, among the groceries. So I was trying to find an Indian place that didn’t have any pre-Pandemic memories. I found Curry Time, a small place on Valley.
I ordered three combo with three items eachs. I knew I wanted certain things like saag. The counter woman helped make my choices. And I opted for some garlic naan as well. It’s a little bit more but worth it. The portions are generous and I was in and out of there in less than 15 minutes. I had called ahead but they said it wasn’t necessary to place my order before hand.
Curry Time does have contactless payment but I found the scanner didn’t pick up my card. That’s okay, it was still a quick credit card transaction.
Highlights included the chicken korma and goat curry. There are family meals available so I might try that next time.
