Southern California Whiskey Club Fundraiser for Covid-19 Relief with Paul John Distillery
I’m happy to announce Southern California Whiskey Club is partnering with Paul John whisky next Wednesday, July 7 at Lost Property bar for a Covid-19 relief fundraiser. Proceeds will benefit World Central Kitchen, the non-profit founded by Chef Jose Andres, and the funds will be used to provide meals for frontline medical workers in India. Appetizers and cocktails will be provided by the new Jungli, a South Asian spot in DTLA.
I first became acquainted with Paul John whisky in 2017 when I met Paul John in Santa Monica. Since then, I’ve happily enjoyed the whisky and even came up with a few cocktails last year.
I’m looking forward to seeing him again and tasting through this line up including the new Mithuna and XO brandy. All tasting participants will receive a gift bag.

The tasting from 6:45 to 7:30 is $50 which is a great deal! Note, unlike past SCWC events, no Glencairns (tasting glasses) will be provided. Please bring your own glasses to participate in the tasting flight. From 7:30 on, appetizers and cocktails will be served. Appetizers are complimentary while cocktails are $9. There will also be a silent auction to raise additional funds.
