Poutine at the Yard
I’m officially declaring the Yard as my favorite poutine in L.A. That’s because the gravy is made with house-made veal stock.
I knew the Yard served up some nice Farmers’ Market driven cocktails but last Saturday was the first time I’ve ever had any of their food. Former Top Chef contestant Chris “CJ” Jacobson is a commanding figure at 6’8″ but we still dared questioned him if they did in fact make the veal stock. He confirmed it was so and you can taste the difference.
Miraculously this dish is available for only $8 on the bar menu. This is bar food at its finest.
The Yard has weekly specials. Should I go on Monday for all-night Happy Hour weekends for late-night bar food? I think you know the answer. Both!
Sundays: Spectacular Brunch from 11am-3pm
Mondays: Happy Hour All Night
Wednesdays: Special Wine and Beer Tastings with Food Pairings From Chef CJ.
Thursdays: The Big Cheese- A night of special creations devoted to glorifying melted cheese
Fridays & Saturdays: Late night menu and drink specials starting after 11
Or I could just do another Hot Bartender Crawl night again…

Poutine is on the bar menu. But you can probably ask for it at the regular table?
