After dinner at Tinga last week, I met up with F for Food at the Tar Pit Bar. Apparently the cocktail menu has changed and I spent some time flipping through the menu. One cocktail caught my eye because it came with a warning- only 2 per customer. I was immediately intrigued. I ordered Bad Brains (Over proof Rum, Dark Rum, Green Chartreuse, Maraschino, Housemade Ginger Beer, Grapefruit Juice, Velvet Falernum, Cholula, Angostura Bitters) and decided it was a very mature tiki cocktail. Everything was expertly blended together by bartender Kate.
But I only had one because I didn’t want to end up like this:
I did also taste the Peep Show, La Fleur’t, R/C Flip and an unnamed cocktail bartender Kate made for us. I really enjoyed the R/C Flip which uses an egg yolk and I can imagine this to be a wintery cocktail. It reminded me of a very good eggnog.

And that’s the unnamed cocktail Kate’s grating nutmeg into. I’m going to call it Tuesday Night #1.
Thankfully, no Bad Brains in the morning.
