Hero Shop’s back! The sandwich shop closed in favor of Ohana Poke a couple of years ago and it enjoyed a good run. Now you can hop over at Fig at 7th as Ohana is opening there in March. Or if you can’t wait, head over to Silver Lake where Ohana serves in the old Black Hogg space.
fatty brisket
My friend had the spice and sour chicken which she liked. I still have yet to eat this sandwich because I gravitate to meatier subs (or banh mi). I went for the fatty brisket this time around and added a fried egg which oozed beautifully.
I used to get sandwiches from Hero Shop and take them to the Hollywood Bowl. Right now this version is claiming to be a popup. I really hope they last until the summer because I miss these sandwiches which are perfect for picnics.
