Culver City: Bacoshop is Now Open

pork baco, cauliflower, cheddar hash browns bites

Bacoshop opened about two weeks ago in Culver City. Long time readers of The Minty know how much I love Chef Josef Centeno spots. I’ve followed the baco from Koreatown to Downtown. And now I’m happy to see it available to everyone on the Westside.

I tried the slow roasted pork baco and went to town on the sides. I chose the roasted cauliflower that was nicely spicy and had a lingering heat. I also liked the green beans which were so fresh. My favorite though was the cheddar hash browns which were little gooey bites. You can dip ’em in the provided harissa ketchup but I preferred to eat them plain. I washed everything down with a tamarind and mango Baco pop which tasted a bit like vanilla cream soda.

Since I’m in DTLA, I probably won’t give up the main Baco there but it’s nice to have this option in Culver if I went to the movies nearby.

I didn’t get dessert but I loved that they have a daily soft serve. My friend really enjoyed this vanilla with raspberry compote.
