Koreatown: Getting Our Grill On at Gwang Yang KBBQ

Mmm, beef
After learning of the crazy wait times at nearby Kang Hodong Baekjeong and Quarters BBQ, we decided to head over to Gwang Yang. I had never been and I do like trying new spots.
Gwang Yang has been making a name for itself lately for quality meats. It wasn’t busy and we got seated right away. I suspect because everyone was waiting it out at other places. We got the beef combo and also an extra dish of pork belly.

banchan
Gwang Yang has a great banchan selection, a true mark of a good Korean restaurant. This is only half of what we got. I of course got more radish slices and kimchi later on.

brisket and pork belly
I love that they change the grill accordingly to get the best grilling out of the meats.

kimchi pancake
One of my favorite Korean foods is pajeon (pancake) and we got the kimchi one. This was light and crispy though a tad greasy as well.
We ate well and I can’t wait to go back to try the pork combo!
