Seattle: Late Night at Herb and Bitter

Mood Indigo

After a ton of whisky at Whisky Jewbilee, we headed back to Capitol Hill and hit Herb and Bitter. Of the many fantastic bars we went to during our much-too-short trip to Seattle, Herb and Bitter was my favorite. I just enjoyed the banter with the bartender and if I had more time, I would have really done a deep dive into the menu. For now, I had a refreshing drink and remember it with great fondness. I needed a long and tall one and settled on the Mood Indigo. A great name and most importantly, it felt wildly different after sampling dozens of whiskies.

kimchi fried rice

My friend got a meat and cheese plate while I was in carbo loading mode. I asked for the kimchi fried rice and somehow we ended up with two plates of it.

salad

I also apparently ordered a salad with chickpeas, pine nuts and a mess of greens. I’m kind of funny about getting balanced meals in even when it’s late at night.

My dear friend never got her meat and cheese plate but she did enjoy the kimchi fried rice.

We took home our leftovers to join our growing pile of leftovers in our hotel fridge. It made the last day in the hotel a very interesting meal experience.
