Date with the Gay Boyfriend: Buddah’s Belly & Milk

Milk's Blue Velvet Cake

A few months back, I had a non-date with an old boyfriend at Milk and took some pictures. The Blue Velvet cake picture set our friends’ tongues wagging, not the possibility of a rekindled romance. The gay boyfriend particularly wanted to visit Milk right away to get a piece of it. The blue velvet cake, not my ex.

shishito peppers

So I went on another non-date this past weekend. The gay boyfriend and I tried out Buddah’s Belly and then headed over to Milk for dessert. We started with the shishito peppers which were good but not as brilliant as Allston Yacht Club where I had them recently.

ahi tuna burger

The gay boyfriend had the ahi tuna burger like I knew he would.

Singapore Seafood Noodles

I had the Singapore Seafood Noodles which featured squid ink flat noodles. I really enjoyed my dish. At first, it didn’t seem like a whole lot but then I got full halfway through.

We went over to the Grove to walk off a meal a bit before heading over to Milk. Should I get another slice of the Blue Velvet cake? Would the gay boyfriend get it?

gay boyfriend is a food photog now?

He actually ended up getting the red velvet ice cream bar (they should make a blue velvet version!). He loved the look of it so much, he took a picture of it on his iPhone which he rarely does and posted it for all (of his Facebook friends) to see. They were jealous of his boogie, all right.

brownie sundae

I ended up getting the brownie sundae with dulce de banana and coffee toffee ice creams. It was delish.

I wonder when my next non-date will be here next?
