The Roosevelt Introduces the Library Bar Lobby Menu
The Roosevelt recently introduced a new option for cocktails and food at the hotel. Now you can order specialty drinks in the lobby from the Library Bar and food from Public Kitchen & Bar.
The new Library Bar Lobby menu started a couple of weeks ago and is available Thursday-Saturday from 5:30 PM on. The Library Bar remains open daily from 7PM to 2 AM.
I liked the sound of the Zelda Fitzgerald (Goslings rum, ginger, grapefruit, lime, Luxardo and agave). It was jazzy with the ginger and a revved up Dark and Stormy.
I just knew from reading the ingredients that the Sterling would be my sort of cocktail. The Sterling (rye, grapefruit, honeyleaf syrup, Peychaud’s bitters) is a sipper.
We also enjoyed treats from Public. They’ll be serving bar bites such as burrata, chicharrones, kale salad and the Library burger. I got to try steak that was flavorful and juicy.
The steak didn’t need sauce but we played with various salts and decided in the end that mixing the bone marrow butter and chimichurri sauce was the most decadent.
There was also the Badlands Punch (pineapple-infused Bols Genever, champagne, lime, agave, Peychaud’s bitters) which made everything seem so festive. Bubbles!
Other drinks on the menu include:
Getting Figgy With It – gin, St. Germain elderflower liqueur, figs, arugula, kumquat, lemon, ginger beer, Angostura bitters
That sounded amazing but unfortunately I didn’t get to try it so I’ll have to go back.
Mexican Redbull -yerba matta infused-tequila, mint, honey, lemon, soda
This isn’t a cocktail using energy drinks. Instead, the yerba matta probably brings a natural buzz to your cocktail.
Seriously Dangerous– whiskey, tomato, basil, lemon, honey syrup
I wondered not only about its name which seemed a little bit of a brag for seeming innocuous sounding ingredients. Like the fig cocktail, I’ll have to come again!
